How To Get Rid Of Acne Scars Overnight?

Dairy Products:

The report presented by New York University that was published in The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics states that, “Eating high glycemic foods like bakery goods such as cakes high on sugar content and sweet beverages cause pimples. Having too much dairy products is also not good for your skin, though they are high in calcium.” Try to have dairy products in a balanced manner.

Medicines:

It might be shocking, but some medicines do increase acne. Mostly those medicines which contain androgens in them cause pimples. So, try to avoid this kind of medicines and consult your doctor.

Makeup:

It is very necessary that you should remove your makeup before going to bed. Most of the makeup products are oil based which cause pimples. Try to use cosmetics which are water based and avoid applying too many layers of makeup. Chemicals cause acne so try to use natural products always.

Stress:

When you get upset your body starts functioning in that way. As a result, it is most likely to trigger acne. Try to avoid getting stressed and spend your time doing those things which make you happy. Meditation is also an effective solution to get rid of stress.

Here are some effective remedies to improve your knowledge on how to get rid of acne scars? They are:

Honey: We all know that honey is an antibiotic which kills the bacteria. It does a miraculous job when it comes to pimples. It is a natural moisturizer. Avoid using the processed honey, which is available in most of the stores, try using raw honey, as it is more effective. Apply some honey on your pimples and see its magical effect. Keep it for at least 1 hour and let it dry. Rinse it properly with normal or lukewarm water, if possible. It not only cures pimples, but makes your skin healthy.

You can also mix rose water, turmeric powder and milk with honey to make a paste.

Procedure:

Take almost two tablespoons of honey, two tablespoons of milk, half tablespoon of turmeric powder and mix them with a few drops of rose water, in a bowl. Apply this paste over your face and wait for at least 15 minutes. Wash it off properly with water. You will surely notice some difference.

Neem: Neem has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. It is also known as a natural astringent, as it is very helpful in removing bacteria from your blood. You can make a neem pack by using raw milk, turmeric powder, neem leaves and multani mitti or fuller’s earth.

Procedure:

Firstly, grind some neem leaves and make it in the form of a paste. Add a half tablespoon of turmeric powder, two tablespoons of fuller’s earth and adequate amount of raw milk. Mix all the ingredients well and apply this pack over your face. After some time wash it with normal water.

Sandal Wood: To get rid of acne and acne marks, try applying sandalwood and rose water over your face. It is the best natural product for your skin.

Procedure:

Mix three tablespoons of sandalwood powder in some rose water. Mix them well to form a paste and apply this paste all over your face. Keep it for at least 15 to 20 minutes and repeat this frequently for some days. You will surely experience an acne free skin after some days.

Tea Tree Oil: It cures the acne very fast and also restricts their outbursts. Directly apply it on the marks or pimples and leave it for few hours. Tea tree oil is one of the best options when you are suffering from acne scars or pimples.

Citrus Fruits: There is a common property which is present in most of the citrus fruits and that is ‘astringent’. As we have discussed earlier, they remove the bacteria and give you a healthy skin. Some of the citrus fruits are orange, lemon and tangerines. Take some citrus fruit extract, water and multani mitti to make a pack.

Procedure:

Mix one tablespoon of citrus fruit extract with two tablespoons of multani mitti and add sufficient water to it. Apply that paste over your face, wait for 20 minutes. Let it dry and experience the magic. You will get a glowing, healthy and a pimple free face after some days.

Dr. Kim discussed some new treatments to control acne or to get it of acne and how to care for your beautiful skin. “In the last 10 or 20 years, there’s been very slow movement. People are really concerned about being on antibiotics for a long time, as that can increase the resistance of bacteria. So one change has been [the use of] low-dose oral antibiotics that have anti-inflammatory effects, but not antimicrobial effects. Also, we have some slow-releasing antibiotics so you’re not getting a high dose of antibiotics all at once.

Recently, a new drug that works a little bit differently was developed. It’s a topical dapsone (a gel applied to the skin). It’s mainly an anti-inflammatory agent.”

Dr. Amanda Friedrichs, a dermatologist says, “It’s very common for patients with acne to scrub their skin and to use harsh products, yet doing so often makes acne worse,” Friedrichs said in a news release from the American Academy of Dermatology. “In order for acne to improve, people with acne must be gentle when touching their skin and use gentle products, such as those that are alcohol-free.”

Friedrichs also suggested other tips for healthy skin, “including:

  • Wash your face twice a day and immediately after sweating.
  • Avoid astringents, toners and exfoliants, which can irritate the skin. Also, apply facial cleanser with your fingertips instead of a washcloth, sponge or brush.
  • Use lukewarm water, not very hot water.
  • Do not pick at your face or squeeze your acne. Letting your skin heal naturally allows it to clear up quickly and prevents scarring.
  • Avoid touching your face, which can increase the risk of flare-ups.
  • Do not use indoor tanning beds, which can damage your skin and increase your risk of skin cancer. Keep in mind certain acne medications that make the skin extra sensitive to ultraviolet (UV) light.”

Friedrichs also advised that, “Make an appointment to see a board-certified dermatologist if your acne makes you shy or embarrassed, the products you’ve tried haven’t worked, or your acne is leaving scars or darkening your skin. Today, virtually every case of acne can be successfully treated.”

The petroleum jelly will lock in moisture, plumping lines.”

Dr. Verallo-Rowell recommends, “Botox is the most effective in-office procedure for stopping your forehead creases from getting worse. When injected into your skin, Botox blocks the nerve impulses that cause your facial muscles to contract, keeping the lines from getting deeper. The procedure costs from $175 to $500 and should be repeated every four to six months. For the best results, combine Botox with a topical retinoid, which will plump up existing wrinkles.”

 Carmindy, makeup artist and co-creator of Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy says, “”The quickest way to deflect attention from forehead wrinkles is with an illuminating face primer.”

The American Academy of Dermatology says, “wear sunscreen! It will protect you from skin cancer and help prevent wrinkles at the same time.”

Yale dermatologist Nicholas Perricone, MD, says that “when you don’t get enough sleep, the body produces excess cortisol, a hormone that breaks down skin cells. Get enough rest, Perricone says, and you’ll produce more HGH (human growth hormone), which helps skin remain thick, more “elastic,” and less likely to wrinkle.”

The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) alerts people on their sleeping positions. AAD says, “sleeping in certain positions the night after the night leads to “sleep lines — wrinkles that become etched into the surface of the skin and don’t disappear once you’re up. Sleeping on your side increases wrinkles on cheeks and chin, while sleeping face-down gives you a furrowed brow. To reduce wrinkle formation, sleep on your back.”

According to dermatologists, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, “tap water strips the skin of its natural barrier oils and moisture that protect against wrinkles. Wash them off too often, and you wash away protection. Moreover, unless your soap contains moisturizers, you should use a cleanser instead.”
